Does Abstract Art Have a Bright Future?

Frank Stella (1986 American painter, a significant figure in minimalism and post-painterly abstraction) had firmly showed his doubt against the bright future of abstract art. Historically, the question of abstraction’s future is as old as abstraction itself.

But there are 3 art movements which have greatly contributed to the development of abstract art- impressionism, romanticism and expressionism. The 19th century artist, James McNeill Whistler’s Nocturne in Black and Gold: the Falling Rocket (1872) had brought revolutionary changes in the abstract paintings.

Another great artist, Paul Cezanne as an impressionist believed in a logical construction and chose flat areas to shape his imagination. His works were greatly appreciated by many elites.

Expressionist painters explored the bold use of paint surface. Expressionists produced emotionally charged paintings. The modern artworks are a blend of these 3 art movements. Today, more and more people want to make career in abstract art. People appreciate the painting that offers freedom to broad your thinking. And it is abstract art which requires a high-level though process. In fact, modern people believe, “someone who is thinking theoretically is allowing for a concept in broad and non-specific way.”

The types of thinking have made abstract art more popular in the modern era. It is quite easy to see these paintings in offices.  Urban elites believe that these Modern paintings give strength to their employees and broad their thinking.

In the US itself, the abstract art is quite popular.  You can easily find top notch abstract painters artworks in any art galleries. In fact, Americans are ready to pay high for their work. Tali Almog is one of the best abstract painters in Los Angeles. Her artwork has got much appreciation.
